Gluten Free is not Problem Free
There is no doubt you have heard this buzz word : GLUTEN-FREE. . It's slapped on more and more products out there these days. . The cracker box or bread bag with the "GF" certification logo at the bottom or the huge wording saying "GLUTEN-FREE!"
Where people go wrong is automatically assuming this means "healthy for me."
Wrong.

An entire industry as risen from the uneducated people that want to seek out foods that mimic wheat containing products, desserts, cakes, and breads.
HERE'S THE KICKER: Most gluten-free foods are made by replacing wheat flour with cornstarch, rice starch, potato starch, or tapioca starch. This is very dangerous for health and anybody look to drop weight, stable blood sugar levels, and regulate hormone levels.

Wheat products increase blood sugar and insulin more than most foods, YES.

But, foods made with cornstarch, rice starch, potato starch, tapioca starch are among the few foods that increase products EVEN MORE than wheat products.

Going gluten-free and consistently have gluten-free foods can not only make you gain weight, but it will accompany that will awful health consequences of excessive visceral fat.

What to do?

1️⃣First, don't assume gluten-free products are healthy for you. So, instead of shopping for all gluten-free products, consume food that does not come from grains at all - not just the removal of wheat.

2️⃣EAT CLEAN. This means the best possible options for foods which usually means fruits, veggies, meats, and you making your own recipes. Anything processed you buy, yes even if it comes from Trader Joe's, is not OPTIMAL.

3️⃣Beware of any products that contain the above mentioned starches.
