Celebrate You
Something that I learned over time, and feel like is essential to a healthy mentality, is to take the time to celebrate your own accomplishments. It is not something many of us do, and the few times that it is done, are few and far apart. This year you might celebrate your birthday, an anniversary, or even a job promotion, but why not celebrate switching to, and maintaining a healthy life style? By no means am I saying to throw a party (or do, this is your life and you can do what you want with it) for every accomplishment, but do take the time to acknowledge it.
- Take a look where you started.
- Look at where you are now, and see how far you’ve come.
- Think of all the effort you put in, and take pride in your progress, no matter how big or small.
- As long as you are moving towards something you want, every step is an achievement.
This encouragement will help you be more kind to yourself, and bring positive energy to you. You will find yourself to be more determined, more confident, and all around in a better mood. Be your own cheerleader because, when there is more in life to celebrate, you will spend more time enjoying it.
