On Mental Burnout
ARE YOU CONSTANTLY BURNT OUT?
And never feeling on top of your game when it comes to your physical health?
Your mental state has a lot to do with this.
When you are continually exposing yourself to stressful situations it can be challenging to cope with stress, make healthy decisions, and handle day-to-day responsibilities.
I’ve been there!!
And my advice right now is to get rid of as many unnecessary tasks/things as possible. Strip away things you don’t absolutely need to do and put your ENERGY into the things YOU can control - like YOURSELF.
If you push yourself to the limits, avoid non-work responsibilities, withdraw from people, feel empty, or experience feelings of depression - this is mental exhaustion, not ordinary fatigue.
.
Burnout can be avoided by making self-care part of your daily routine. Even if you’re working long hours, studying for exams, or taking care of kids, remember to sprinkle some joy into each day and take care of you first.
.
Try going for a walk, talking to a friend, or writing down your current feelings and thoughts. Small self-care gestures like these can stop stress from turning into something more serious, like burnout.
